Don has more than 30 years experience as a photographer, illustrator, and graphic designer in the music, entertainment, magazine and sports industries. He began his professional career in 1987 working in the advertising and marketing departments for the San Diego Chargers and Padres.
He spent nine years (1990-99) with the Reno Gazette-Journal (Gannett West Headquarters) as an award-winning graphic designer, photographer and cartoonist. In 2000, he joined the staff as the associate art director and photographer for Billboard magazine, and sister titles: The Hollywood Reporter and Amusement Business magazine working from both of their Nashville and Los Angeles offices.
Don was a member and the official photographer for the International Entertainment Buyers Assoc. from 2002-2009. He is one of Nashville's premier entertainment and sports photographers having also served as the house photographer for Northstar Studios and B.B. Kings Blues Club in Nashville, TN.
His images and artwork have appeared in national and regional publications such as: Billboard, Amusement Business magazine, The Hollywood Reporter, People Magazine, Rolling Stone, Jet Magazine, MusicCityNews.com, Venues Today, Country Weekly, Guitar Player Magazine, USA Hockey Magazine, Center Ice Magazine, Tennessee Sports magazine, Reno Gazette-Journal, U-T San Diego and the North County Times (San Diego).
